Many sellers expect their home to be marketed on the internet today. They know that's the place more and more buyers are starting the home search process.

So to help meet that expectation, multiple listing services are being called upon by their users to facilitate internet exposure.  Common ways to do that include data feeds to IDX providers and more recently, to listing syndication services.

Point2 Agent Listing Syndication
An optional, no-charge Heartland MLS Service

To provide you with a tool for easier online listing exposure, Heartland MLS has selected Point2 Agent as a new service provider. Point2 Agent offers a complete real estate listing syndication solution for those Brokers who feel this service is a good fit for their business. This new service comes at no additional cost to HMLS users who opt to use it and the ability to opt-in will start November 30, 2009.

With Point2 Agent's no-charge syndication tools you'll have the ability to syndicate your property listings to over 35 Point2 Syndication Partner websites.  This includes public listing search sites like Yahoo!, Trulia, Google Base and many more (see the current list of no-charge Syndication Partner websites here).

If you choose to use the Point2 Agent syndication program, agents or office staff will be able to enter listings once in the MLS and have them sent automatically to some of the highest-trafficked real estate and other search sites on the internet. The data is refreshed every 24 hours, so changes made at HMLS are reflected on the syndicated websites, keeping things accurate.

The program is flexible and easy to manage. If you don't want to use all the Syndication Partner websites, you will be able to choose which sites your office's listings can go to by using an online tool called a Syndication Dashboard.  After the Broker sets the office's overall Syndication Partner preferences, then agents will be able to set preferences for each listing.  And Brokers as well as Agents will be able to access reports and leads via prospect emails.

Brokers will need to opt-in to this program to have your office's listings included in a daily data feed to Point2 Agent.  After opting-in, Brokers and Agents will need to set up Syndication Dashboards to use the program.

The program will begin November 30, so please take every opportunity to find out more about this new service.  The information below explains the details and we highly recommend you attend a Syndication Dashboard webinar (registration link below).

It's up to you to decide if Point2 Agent listing syndication is for you and your company!
