Results are in from the 2008 Board of Directors election in which two At-large Directors and two Regional Chairmen/Directors were elected. Thank you to all the candidates for their interest in and commitment to serving KCRAR!
The newly elected At-large Directors are Greg Shahan, CRB and Marshall Stapleton. They will serve three-year terms from 2009-2011.
Greg Shahan is the Broker Owner of Exit Realty Leawood Group. Greg currently serves on the KCRAR Forms Review and Revision Committee and the Governmental Affairs Committee - Kansas. He is also a Kansas Association of REALTORS® Director and the Vice President of the Women's Council of REALTORS® Johnson County Chapter. He has been in the real estate business since 1996.
Marshall Stapleton is the Managing Broker of Coldwell Banker John Moffitt & Associates in Blue Springs. Marshall has been active in local and state boards most of his real estate career, which spans 38 years. He has served on numerous committees locally and at the state level. Marshall presently serves on the KCRAR Governmental Affairs Committee - Missouri and on the MAR Governmental Affairs Committee. He's also a member of the Missouri Credentials Committee, the local and state RPAC Trustees and is a MAR Director.
In the Show Me Region, Glenna Lunceford, GRI, ABR, CRS was elected to be the Region Chairman for 2009-2010. Glenna's real estate career began in 1969 and she has been with Reece & Nichols in Independence since 1992. She served the Eastern Jackson County Board of REALTORS® in several offices and has taken an active role in Woment's Countil of REALTORS® since the KCMetro Chapter was formed, serving as President in 2004. Her involvement in KCRAR has included the RPAC, Forms, Grievance and Government Affairs Committees and she's served as a MAR Director and on several MAR Committees.
Members in the Rivers Region elected Teresa Whittamore, CRS, GRI, ABR, CSP to serve as their Region Chairman for 2009-2010. Teresa is with Coldwell Banker Reilly & Sons in Leavenworth as she's been in the real estate business for 10 years. Teresa has been an active volunteer in the Rivers Region as well as with her firm's committee activities for local events in Leavenworth County.
